Putting Faith Into Action

At St. Ignatius Council 9729, our faith calls us to serve. Throughout the year, our members support parish life, assist local charitable organizations, and participate in programs that strengthen families and communities throughout Harford County.
Whether serving behind the scenes at parish events, supporting local charities, or volunteering our time and talents, we are committed to living the principles of Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism.

Supporting Families and Life

The Knights of Columbus have a long tradition of supporting the dignity of every human life.
St. Ignatius Council 9729 proudly supports the Women’s Care Center on Belair Road and other initiatives that assist mothers, children, and families in need. Through fundraising efforts and charitable support, we help provide resources and encouragement to women facing challenging circumstances.
Each Mother’s Day, our council also provides flowers in celebration of the mothers and women who enrich our families and parish community.
Serving Our Community
Our commitment to charity extends beyond parish boundaries.
The council supports organizations and programs throughout Harford County that provide assistance to vulnerable individuals and families. We work to address both immediate needs and long-term community support through volunteer service and charitable giving.
Our outreach efforts include:
- Food and assistance programs for local families
- Camp Open Arms – University of Maryland Medical System
- Support for organizations serving the homeless
- Maryland Special Olympics
- Harford Academy (formerly John Archer School)
- Coats for Kids
- Local charitable initiatives throughout Harford County

Honoring Those Who Served
Patriotism is one of the founding principles of the Knights of Columbus.
Each year, members of St. Ignatius Council 9729 celebrate Mass and participate in Fourth of July activities with veterans at the VA Medical Center at Perry Point. These events provide an opportunity to honor the sacrifices of those who have served our nation and to express our gratitude for their dedication.
Building Brotherhood Through Service
Every event, fundraiser, and volunteer effort strengthens not only our community, but also the bonds among our members.
Through shared service, faith, and fellowship, the men of St. Ignatius Council 9729 continue to answer the call to serve while making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
