Carnevale Celebration Brings Parish Together for Food, Fellowship, and Friendly Competition

Members of St. Ignatius Council 9729 hosted the annual Carnevale Celebration on Sunday, February 15, 2026, bringing parishioners together for an afternoon of delicious food, fellowship, and community spirit.

Held in anticipation of the Lenten season, the event featured a hearty pasta dinner enjoyed by parish families and guests of all ages. A highlight of the celebration was the annual Meatball Contest, where participants proudly shared family recipes and competed for bragging rights as the creator of the evening’s favorite meatball.

The contest sparked lively conversation, friendly rivalry, and plenty of laughter as attendees sampled entries and cast their votes. As always, the event showcased the strong sense of fellowship that makes St. Ignatius Parish such a vibrant community.

Council members assisted with planning, setup, food preparation, serving, and cleanup, helping to ensure a successful event for everyone who attended.

The Carnevale Celebration continues to be a cherished parish tradition, providing an opportunity for families and friends to gather before the beginning of Lent and celebrate the blessings of faith, friendship, and community.
